Hrafn Asgeirsson

asgeirsson_photoI’m Reader (Associate Professor) in Philosophy and Law at the University of Surrey, School of Law and member (and currently co-director) of the Surrey Centre for Law and Philosophy. I’m also Director of Ph.D. Admissions. Prior to that, I was Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Iceland, and before that I was Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Monash University, Faculty of Law. In 2015, I was H.L.A. Hart Visiting Fellow at the Oxford Centre for Ethics and Philosophy of Law.

I completed my Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

My main interests lie in philosophy of law, philosophy of language, and metaethics.
